| Mission Statement The purpose of the Elm Grove Woman's Club is to unite the women of Elm Grove in the study of social, literary, economic and other vital problems, to engage in benevolent, educational, literary, civic and charitable enterprises and pursuits, and to afford an organized social center for united study, thought and action and to cooperate with other organizations for the progress and welfare of the community. |
For over seventy three years, the Elm Grove Woman's Club has been
a vital resource for our community. You have the opportunity to
participate in civic, charitable, educational and social programs. We
are a diverse group of over 230 women of all ages. We are mothers,
daughters, grandmothers, sisters, wives, career women, retirees and
friends all supporting the common goals of our club. We are a fun
group of very caring, helpful, motivated, and enthusiastic ladies.
The Club maintains its philanthropic goal of strengthening the
community. We hold a couple of fund raisers per year, the proceeds
of which go towards different needs of the community's "wish list". In
addition, the Club provides an annual summer art grant and two senior
scholarships to youth in the community. Monthly luncheons, with a
program are held from October through May. The Club also hosts a
variety of fun annual events including the Grand Boutique Rummage
& Bake Sale, Christmas in the Grove, the elegant Chandelier Ball, the
Grove Art Festival and a Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast. One can
participate as often or as little as you wish.
Our beautiful building is also available to the public to rent for special
occasions and events, such as weddings and can accommodate 220
guests.
I have enjoyed volunteering to be of service to our community, as
well as attending the social events and forming great friendships that I
have made through the years. I am looking forward to serving as the
Club's 73rd president. If you would like to learn more or are
